Managing Leaves, Out-of-Office Time & Appointment Availability

Leaves allow clinics to mark a doctor as unavailable for full days or specific hours without changing regular working hours. They are used for absences, urgent matters, and temporary out-of-office time.

Leaves allow clinics to mark a doctor as unavailable, either partially or fully, without changing regular working hours.

This is used for:

  • Half-day absences

  • Short urgent matters

  • Full-day leave

  • Temporary out-of-office time

Leaves are managed independently from working hours.


Types of Leaves

1. Full-Day Leave

  • Doctor unavailable for the entire day

  • No appointments can be booked

2. Partial Leave (Time-Based)

  • Doctor unavailable during a specific time window

  • Example: 09:30 – 11:30


Adding a Leave

You can add a leave or out-of-office time for a doctor from the Time Management page. Leaves can be full-day, multi-day, or partial (hour-based).

How to Add a Leave

  1. Navigate to the Booking Portal Dashboard.

  2. Click Time Management from the left-side menu.

  3. Under the Leaves section, click the + (Add) icon.

  4. Select the From Date.

  5. Select the To Date.

For a Full-Day or Multi-Day Leave

  1. Click Save to record the leave.

For a Partial (Hour-Based) Leave

  1. Enable the Partial option.

  2. Enter the Start Time.

  3. Enter the End Time.

  4. Click Save.

📝 Notes

  • Leaves are managed independently from working hours.

  • If the leave dates or times conflict with already booked appointments, the system will notify you and will not savethe leave.

  • Existing appointments are never canceled automatically.
