Appointments booked through the public online booking portal or via insurance / TPA channels do not become active immediately. They must first be reviewed by the clinic to ensure accuracy and availability.
When Appointments Require Approval
An appointment appears under Pending Clinic Approval when it is:
Booked from the public online booking page
Submitted through insurance or TPA flows
Subject to clinic validation rules
Once approved, the appointment moves to Open / Pending Appointments.
What You See on the Pending Approval Page
Each pending appointment includes:
Available Actions
For each pending appointment, clinics can take the following actions:
1. View Details
Click View Details to review full appointment information, including:
Patient name
Mobile number and email
Relationship (Self / Dependent)
Insurance company and policy ID (if applicable)
Assigned doctor
Requested appointment date and time
2. Approve Order
Click Approve Order to:
Confirm the appointment
Activate it in the clinic schedule
Make it visible in Open / Pending Appointments
Once approved, the appointment follows normal operational flow.
3. Cancel Order
Click Cancel Order to:
Cancelled appointments remain visible in Appointment History for tracking and audit purposes.
Why Clinic Approval Is Required
This approval step exists to:
Validate insurance and TPA information
Prevent duplicate or conflicting bookings
Ensure doctor availability and clinic readiness
Maintain control over clinic workflows
📝 Notes
Pending appointments are not visible in the active schedule until approved.
No invoices are issued until the appointment is approved and completed.
All approval and cancellation actions are logged for operational traceability.
